Pupils from 1st, 2nd or 3rd year of secundary education
The 'Diversity Wins' project (formerly Give Racism the Red Card) is aimed at pupils from the 1st, 2nd or 3rd year of secondary school. Each school chooses how many classes they allow to participate. Each class goes through the package of lessons in class. The pupils are introduced to different forms of racism and discrimination, including religion and people's sexual orientation, and they learn how to deal with diversity.
Civic education
Together with some other top European clubs and numerous teachers, Club has developed a ready-made package of several classes around this anti-racism and anti-discrimination campaign. These lessons perfectly tie in with the final term 'civic education': citizenship competences including competences on living together. The classes take place at school and are taught by in-house school teachers.
To this end, Club Brugge Foundation has compiled an extensive teacher's guide and pupil workbook. The teachers receive a printed version of the teacher's guide/course book from Club Brugge Foundation, depending on the number of participating pupils. The pupil workbook contains numerous assignments and fill-in exercises to be applied during the lessons. The teachers can schedule these classes themselves within their timetable.
