On Thursday, April 24, Club Brugge's practice fields at the Jan Breydel Stadium formed the backdrop for Younited Belgium's annual spring tournament. This time Club Brugge Foundation took charge of the organization and welcomed 17 Younited teams from all over Belgium.
More than 200 players from vulnerable backgrounds came together for a day full of soccer, encounters and fair play. Club Brugge's own Younited team also signed up and actively participated in the tournament.
The spring tournament underlines the power of Younited Belgium: connecting people through soccer, strengthening self-confidence and lowering social barriers. On and off the field, respect was central and all participants got the chance to fully develop and relax.
This spring tournament came about thanks to a collaboration between Club Brugge Foundation, Younited Belgium and the students Sport & Bewegen of Howest Brugge, who organized the tournament as part of their Sport Business Project. We look back with pride on a successful edition and remain committed to create opportunities for all together with partners such as Younited Belgium and our local Foundation partners.
