During these winter months, thousands of people in underprivileged circumstances risk being left out in the cold. This is why Club Brugge Foundation is launching an appeal: donate warmth to those in need.
Due to misfortune, illness or lack of opportunity, a lot of people in our region do not have the opportunity to provide appropriate winter clothing. During the upcoming home game, Club Brugge - Standard on Sunday, December 3, we are calling on all fans to donate their old winter coat(s) to those who need it most.
3 collection points
From 2 hours before kick-off, 3 collection points will be opened around the stadium. Near entrance North (near the Club Shop), at entrance East (next to Olympost) and at entrance West (at the entrance control).
Coats for men, women and children can be handed in before kickoff.
Help for socially vulnerable Bruges residents
The collected coats will be distributed via Televestiaire Brugge - an organization where people in a vulnerable situation can go for clothing and household goods - to the right people in the Bruges area. "Last year, 1,200 people in poverty came to us to pick out clothes. However, we see the number of persons referred to us by the various welfare organizations increasing. Therefore, this help in the search for warm winter coats is very important for our people. Especially with the upcoming winter rush. We are therefore very grateful to Club Brugge and its fans for their support." said Ann Daenens of Televestiaire Brugge.
Also during the week in the Club Shop
Not coming to the Club Brugge - Standard match next Sunday, but still want to do your bit? You can also take your winter coat to the Club Shop at the Jan Breydel Stadium until Saturday, December 2. The Club Shop is open this week from 10 am to 6 pm and on Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm.
