On Wednesday, April 5, the doors of the lodge building at the Jan Breydel Stadium were open to anyone wishing to donate blood. Once again we were able to welcome many Club fans and local residents who selflessly came to donate blood to replenish the life-saving supplies of the Red Cross.
New donors
As with every blood collection, there are not only our regular donors, but also many people who came to donate blood for the first time.
Lindsey and Francis got to know each other at the Jan Breydel Stadium: "Blue-black is in our blood, we didn't have to think twice to accept the request to donate blood at the place where we first saw each other. A very nice initiative from Club Brugge Foundation!"
Giving blood is vital
3% of Flemings give blood while 70% need a blood transfusion at some point in their lives. A message well understood by 60 donors. At the lodge, each of them helped keep the blood supply up to date. In collaboration with Jupiler 0.0% we thanked, with a Club Brugge goodie bag, each donor for their donation. We would like to thank everyone who came to support this initiative!
Jutglà was also present and showed why he is not only a top football player, but also a human being with his heart in the right place.
