Club Brugge Foundation

Scoring for Health, in collaboration with players and players of Club Brugge, is an educational and sporting project that encourages students to develop a healthy lifestyle. During a school year, children attend 12 interactive lessons, learning about exercise, nutrition and mental health. The project continues with the healthy breakfast and sports competition.

350 pupils score with teamwork and sportsmanship

With great enthusiasm, 350 students participated in Scoring for Health. The classes competed in three different assignments, where they had to strengthen not only their physical skills, but also their bond with each other.

The goal? The title of "The Best Cooperating Class." The class that worked together best will get a ride in the iconic Club Brugge bus to the final event at the end of the school year. This makes the project extra special for the students, who thereby not only work on a healthy lifestyle, but also become part of a bigger story.

Sporting assignments strengthen group bonding

The competition consisted of three challenging assignments: bag running, a soccer challenge and a combination of running and thinking through the game Aball.

During these activities, it became clear that teamwork was the key to success. Teacher De Wassenaard from Jabbeke looks back: "It was nice to see how the students had to work together. It was also surprising that you get to know some students even better at such moments." Fanatical commitment and fun were bursting forth, and each class did its utmost to emerge as the strongest team.

A healthy start: eating breakfast together

Earlier in the project, the students already had an instructive and tasty moment during the healthy breakfast organized by Club Brugge. This breakfast introduced them to new nutritious foods and underlined the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Teacher De Regenboog from Beernem says: "The pupils enjoyed the breakfast and discovered new things. It was really an eye-opener for some." The breakfast was a continuation of a series of activities focusing on health and well-being.The Scoring for Health project proves once again that promoting a healthy lifestyle goes perfectly hand in hand with fun and cooperation.
