Every day in Belgium, some thirty people suffer cardiac arrest. But less than ten percent survive. That means that every year in a full Jan Breydel about two supporters can suffer a cardiac arrest. Together with main partner Unibet, Club Brugge and Club Brugge Foundation are offering a unique AR experience where fans can learn life-saving techniques for free and thus help raise the survival rate. In addition, every fan who successfully completes the experience will receive a unique No Heart No Glory pin.
For three seasons now, Unibet & Club have been joining forces to give amateur soccer a heart to heart. For every vote cast on the Player of the Month campaign, Unibet donates one euro to charity, allowing amateur clubs to participate in a free workshop on resuscitation and heart massage, as well as receiving a free AED device. Since the launch of this campaign, more than 35 amateur football clubs from across the country have already been supported in this way.
Now we are going one step further together. Through a unique AR-experience, developed in cooperation with KU Leuven, on www.noheartnoglory.be you will learn in eight steps how to resuscitate someone, test your knowledge and receive an exclusive pin when answering all the questions correctly.
Because in our family, we help each other.
"As the market leader in Belgium, Unibet has been firmly committed to responsible gaming for years. Responsible sports also remains a very hot topic. That's why Club and Unibet are joining forces to not only provide AED equipment and the accompanying workshops, but now also prepare the broader public to save lives." - Tom Buttiens, Marketing Manager Unibet.
"As a professional football club, we also have a great social responsibility off the field. We have been doing this at Club Brugge for years based on our slogan 'No Heart/No Glory', through which we want to help people move forward with our Foundation. We are proud that, together with the entire Club family and main partner Unibet, we can add an extra layer to this and with this unique AR-tool we can teach thousands of people in an interactive way a better knowledge of life-saving techniques. Because the sooner appropriate help can be provided in heart failure, the greater the chance of survival." Peter Gheysen, Head of Foundation Club Brugge.
