Ten teams from all over Flanders came to Ghent with their Younited team. A sporting afternoon where fun was the main focus.
Since 2019, the Pro League's social partner, the Belgian Homeless Team, has been renamed Younited Belgium. Club Brugge Younited brings together homeless people, people in homeless care and people with drug and or alcohol addictions on a weekly basis to play soccer, have fun and enjoy themselves. This week that was done at Dok Noord Gent, where teams such as Younited Antwerp, Beerschot, KAA Gent, KV Kortrijk and Zulte Waregem also signed up present.
The end result? That doesn't matter, because fun was the most important thing Tuesday afternoon. Regardless of age, background or home situation, this kind of initiative creates friendship, togetherness & security!
