When it comes to resuscitation, every minute counts. Did you know that in Belgium there are about 10,000 cardiac arrests a year, or about 30 a day? Only 10% survive and we want to do something about it together with Unibet, especially today, on World Health Day.
Heady numbers, aren't they? This would even mean that in a full Jan Breydel about 2 people could suffer cardiac arrest every year. Only 53% feel able to resuscitate when something occurs. A few months ago, together with main partner Unibet, we developed a unique AR tool where fans can learn life-saving techniques for free to help raise the survival rate.
Via noheartnoglory.be you can learn in 8 steps how to resuscitate someone and test your knowledge afterwards using a quiz. More than 10,000 people have already been introduced to the #ISaveLives campaign and some 1,300 people received a unique No Heart No Glory pin after going through all the steps. Player of the Month
Club Brugge and Unibet also do their bit during the monthly Player Of The Month campaign. Per vote, €1 is thus donated to charity, with one amateur football club receiving a free CPR workshop & a free AED device every month. Since the launch of this campaign, more than 35 amateur football teams from across the country have already been supported in this way.
