Noa Lang gives interview to class of Give Racism The Red Card
Racism and discrimination are still current realities in society. Even the soccer world is not spared from racist and discriminatory statements and at Club Brugge we see diversity as an asset and a way to connect people. Club Brugge wants to use its power and impact on society and does so together with various schools through the foundation project 'Give Racism The Red Card'.
350 pupils all over Flanders
Together with a number of other top European clubs and several teachers, Club developed a ready-to-use package of 7 lessons on various themes. These lessons fit seamlessly with the final term "Citizenship education: 'citizenship competencies including competencies on living together'. The classroom lessons continue at school and are taught by in-house school teachers. In March 2023, as many as 350 pupils and 12 classes from Bruges, Bredene, Zelzate and Jette are participating in the project. In a few months, the pupils go through a lot of topics such as racism, discrimination, religion, politics, LGBTQ+, racism in the sports world, etc....
