On Thursday evening, April 20, the annual 'Bruges Sports Awards' were presented at the City Theatre in Bruges. Club Brugge was honored as national champions and also won the trophy of 'Sports team of the year 2022'.
BRUGES CHAMPIONS HONORED
Every year, the Bruges Sports Council and the City of Bruges award the 'Bruges Sports Prizes'. At this event, all World, European and Belgian champions and champion teams are honored for their titles achieved in 2022.
This year saw the 60th edition of the Bruges Sports Awards. Together with the other champions of Bruges, Club Brugge, as national champion of soccer 2021-2022, received a memento from the hands of Alderman for Sport Franky Demon and the president of the Sports Council, Franky Moelaert.
CLUB BRUGGE WINS BRUGSE SPORT TEAM OF THE YEAR
The association of sports journalists of Bruges also awarded the sports team, sportswoman and sportsman of the year during the Bruges Sports Awards to those who delivered an exceptional sports performance in 2022 and thus put Bruges on the map as a sports city.
Hereby Club Brugge emerged as 'Sports Team of 2022', thanks to winning the 18th national title, the beautiful track record in Europe and the social added value Club and its Foundation bring to society. Club Brugge thanks the Bruges Sports Council for this beautiful recognition.
