Last Sunday, a collection of winter coats was organized before the Club Brugge - Standard match. The Club fans showed their blue-black hearts en masse and donated a total of no less than 462 winter coats, which can be used to help Bruges residents living in socially vulnerable situations during this winter period.
During these winter months, thousands of people living in underprivileged poverty in our region risk being left out in the cold. Televestiaire Brugge, a social organization that provides clothing and household goods to people in a vulnerable situation, asked Club Brugge Foundation if they could help remedy the acute shortage of warm winter coats. In response, our Foundation launched an appeal: 'give warmth to those in need and donate a winter coat with Club Brugge - Standard.'
This appeal was massively answered by the Club family. Thus, equipment manager Pascal Plovie donated a large load of winter coats originating from the players' group, the Club stewards showed their big hearts and donated dozens of coats, some supporters' clubs organized a local collection in their region and the atmosphere groups North Fanatics, VAK 313 and Bruges Loyals also supported this fundraising campaign. Last Sunday no less than 462 winter coats were donated to the three collection points around the stadium.
Ann Daenens from Televestiaire Brugge was very pleased with the result: "Our people who are less fortunate often cannot afford nice winter coats. Thanks to this collection from Club Brugge, we can get through the winter well and help people who really need it with appropriate clothing. We are forever grateful to the Club fans."
