On November 14, 15 and 16, 2022, the 18th 'More Than Football' conference of the European Football For Development Network took place in Budapest, Hungary. Our Club Brugge Foundation was also present as one of more than 180 representatives of European soccer.
Club Brugge Foundation has been a member of the EFDN network for years, where more than 160 soccer organizations from all over Europe share knowledge and experience around various social projects and initiatives carried out with the power of soccer all over Europe.
The EFDN network meets twice a year for a major conference. Last week our Foundation was also present at the 18th Conference at the Groupama Arena of host club Ferencvárosi TC, in Budapest.
They participated in several roundtable discussions, attended inspiring presentations during break-out sessions, followed several panel discussions and got insight into many different campaigns and actions around human rights and sustainability within soccer.
Head of Foundation at Club Brugge Peter Gheysen was one of the speakers during a panel discussion on diversity, gender equality and LGBTQI+ acceptance in soccer, which is extensively covered within the Foundation project 'Give Racism The Red Card'.
