The Christmas and New Year period, a warm time where we toast the holidays with family and friends and look back on the wonderful events of last year. Blauw-Zwart also wants to give Bruges children living in underprivileged circumstances "the most wonderful time of the year." Will you help fulfill their wishes through the Wish Tree or toy collection?
MAKE A DIFFERENCE
From various partners in Bruges' welfare work, we are increasingly receiving signals that the number of people in underprivileged circumstances is also increasing in Bruges. According to the latest figures, 1 in 7 children in Bruges grows up in an underprivileged environment, compared to 1 in 10 children in 2016. This target group is hit even harder by the energy crisis, rising prices due to inflation, the economic recession...and we want to do something about it!
BLUE-BLACK WISHING TREE
Starting Monday, December 12, there will be a Christmas tree in the Club Shop and City Shop that will be decorated with greeting cards with various personal toy wishes from Bruges children. You can help fulfill these children's wishes.
- Stop by the Club Shop at the Jan Breydel Stadium or the City Shop (Steenstraat 50, Bruges)
- Take a look at our Blue-Black Wish Tree and choose a child's wish from the tree that you want to fulfill by buying the toy.
- Through our Foundation partners we make sure the gift gets to the right child
Those who buy a gift and donate to this action will receive a warm gift from our Foundation as a thank you for the gesture: a 'No Heart/No Glory' buff.
Are you unable to come to the Club Shop at the stadium, but still want to help fulfill a child's wish? Then donate an amount of your choice to the account number of Club Brugge Foundation BE16 280 0473300 74, mentioning 'Wish Tree'. Our Foundation will use this to purchase gifts for Bruges children in underprivileged circumstances.
TOY COLLECTION
Everyone has toys at home that are still in good condition, but are no longer used. Because the children have gotten older, they have double the toys or because the children are no longer interested in them. Give these toys a second life and bring them in to Club Brugge. Our Foundation ensures that these toys end up with various Bruges organizations that support underprivileged families. All still usable toys that are in good condition can be brought in:
- During the week at the Club Shop at the Jan Breydel Stadium. Check here for the opening hours of the Club Shop.
- Before the cup game Club Brugge-STVV on Wednesday, December 21 or Club Brugge - OHL on Monday, December 26 at the collection point at ticket office block North, opposite the Club Shop.
Those who bring in a bag of still usable toys for this action will receive a warm gift from our Foundation as a thank you for the warm gesture: a 'No Heart/No Glory' buff.
A big thank you from the Club Brugge family!
CHRISTMAS MARKET ON 26 DECEMBER
During the Club - OH Leuven league match on Monday afternoon, December 26, Fort Jan Breydel will once again be transformed into the coziest stadium in the country.
Come to the Christmas market at the west stand to enjoy various delicious coffees, gluhwein, hot chocolate and fresh soup or buy a hot sugar waffle, pancakes or pastries before the match, during half-time or after the match and support the charity. With the proceeds from this Christmas market, our Foundation will organize a New Year's Eve dinner for socially vulnerable Bruges residents. More information about the various Christmas activities can be foundHERE .
INVITATION
Through different welfare organizations in Bruges, people with a limited budget were invited to attend the cup match Club Brugge - STVV together with all Club fans. To complete the soccer experience, our Foundation also offered them a Club scarf and something to eat and drink. So they could all enjoy an evening of soccer at Club Brugge.
