MORE THAN FOOTBALL-AWARD
In November 2020, our Club Brugge Foundation won the prestigious 'More Than Football-award 2020', awarded by the 'European Football for Development Network' (EFDN)'. A jury consisting of more than 100 Community Managers from different European soccer clubs chose our project 'The Bear and His Scarf' - a unique children's book from Club Brugge that addresses themes such as racism, tolerance & equality in soccer in an impactful way - as the best community project in European soccer.
As the winner of this prestigious award, Club Brugge received a full-option mini-pitch donated by Musco Lighting.
COASTAL PARK KNAPEN ZEEBRUGGE
This mini-pitch - worth approximately 100,000 euros - was donated by Club Brugge to Stad Brugge to install in a neighborhood park, so that it can reach as many young people as possible and permanently play off "the connecting power of soccer. Coastal Park Knapen in Zeebrugge was chosen as the ideal place to place this mini-pitch.
The mini-pitch was installed last summer at Kustpark Knapen in Zeebrugge and will be officially inaugurated on Wednesday afternoon, September 21, with a big opening party.
Program:
- 14h00-14h30: Official opening More Than Football mini-pitch by Stad Brugge & Club Brugge
- 14:00 - 15:00: Signing session and Meet & Greet with some Club players
- 14h00 - 17h00: Continuous animation, with bouncy castles, street soccer show, photobooth with champions cup, soccer challenges, music, ...
