Discuss racism and diversity in the classroom
Racism and discrimination remain a reality in our society. Young people also come into contact with this, but do not always know how to deal with differences. At the same time, teachers often experience barriers to discussing sensitive issues such as identity, racism and inclusion.
With Diversity Wins , Club Brugge Foundation supports schools in starting these conversations in a safe and interactive way.
What is Diversity Wins?
Diversity Wins is an educational program for 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade students. Through a ready-made curriculum, students and teachers work together on themes such as identity, prejudice, racism, faith and LGBTQIA+.
The track focuses on:
- awareness
- open dialogue
- respectful handling of differences
In this way we strengthen young people at a crucial stage of their development.
How does it work?
- Free ready-to-use teaching materials and workbooks
- 8 interactive lessons per class
- Connected to citizenship education
- Carried out by the own teacher
Teachers are provided with all the tools to work independently with the course.
Support for teachers
We support teachers to bring these themes with confidence:
- Workshop "Conversation about diversity in education" (i.s.m. Thomas More)
- Practical tools for classroom discussions
- Exchange of experiences with other schools
Unique Club Brugge experience
Soccer is used as a lever to reach young people:
- Live (online) interviews with players of Club Brugge & Club YLA
- Optional workshop Team4Democracy in the Jan Breydel Stadium
Students engage in dialogue with role models close to their environment.
